Sam C’s addiction to sex and relationships developed from childhood trauma, stemming from witnessing their father’s affair and growing up in an absent home. They found their way into recovery first through Al-Anon, which then led them to Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) after realizing their inventory was deeply sex-based. Now, over a year sober and actively working their program, Sam C has established strong boundaries, ended toxic relationships, accepted their bisexuality, and is rebuilding their life with newfound self-worth and hope.
